In the year 2000, SPJIMR, a Registered Education Provider (R.E.P) of the Project Management Institute (PMI)® - USA, offered for the first time a 4-day programme on "Project Management Professional (PMP)® Certification Exam Preparatory programme” based on the Project Management Institute, A Guide to the Project Management Body Of Knowledge, (PMBOK® Guide). With 35 learning hours at SPJIMR, it is a recommended module for the PMP® certification. SPJIMR had made the first foray in the field of Project Management in 2000. Since then, it has made its mark in initiating India Inc. into "management by projects".
